The administration of the college is undertaken by an office under the stewardship of the principal who is also helped by the vice-principal. There are separate sections dealing with different aspects of administration including the academic and non-academic requirements of the students, scholarships, examinations etc. Students can approach the office on all working days from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and from 1.30 AM to 4.30 PM. The college is the oldest affiliated aided college under the University of Kerala. The university designs all its courses, conducts the examinations and awards graduate & post graduate degrees in Arts, Sciences & Commerce. The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accreditted the college at four star level.

The college is situated at Kalarcode 4Kms south of Alappuzha town. It is on the National Highway-47. It is approximately 5Kms from the KSRTC Bus Station and around 6Kms from the Railway Station. The Alappuzha - Chenganasseri road joins NH-47 on the Northern side of the college.
